Think about this for a moment!
What do you struggle with the most on a daily basis? Are you tired and dreading getting out of bed on a morning, feel under pressure at work or overwhelmed with your to do list, family commitments, the list goes on.
In today’s busy world it’s often difficult to snatch a moment or two for ourselves sometimes even harder as a woman with additional demands of Motherhood or single parenting. If you are brutally honest with yourself how far down the pecking order of life do you come? Thought so!
You might have even forgotten what it feels like to have some precious time for you so ask yourself this question. When did you last give yourself permission to have time JUST to unwind? Not having time for ourselves can sometimes lead to resentment. As you get on with that huge pile of ironing or next round of shopping those feelings are pushed down again and again until eventually just like a pressure cooker letting off of steam you explode!
Rather than get to that point here’s what I want you to do. Make a commitment to take time just for you whether it’s going for a walk, reading a book, having a massage, lunch by yourself or with a friend it doesn’t really matter what it is. What really matters is this.
There are 168 hours in 1 week and whilst 1 hour may seem a lot, you have actually spent the other 167 working, sleeping and generally doing. Isn’t it time you gave yourself JUST what you need, even for 1 hour a week? If you can make this a weekly habit you will feel much calmer, relaxed and more in control of your day to day life.
