Vision Your Way to the Future.

Date

If after last weeks referendum you feel there needs to be period of reassessment, adjustment and adaptation you would be right. What’s most needed now is a clear vision and a new plan for the future. These principles also hold true for our personal lives. It’s good to have time for reflection and reassessment, maybe taking a step back to re-evaluate.

But If like many you find it hard to visualise future goals, one sure way of bringing them to life and fun to do is to create a vision board. Your board can be any size if there is space for it and is done as part of a longer term goal setting process. These don’t have to cost a fortune either the idea is anyone can do this. Personally my vision board is two cork boards side by side on a wall where I can see them daily.

This is what you do. Begin to create by cutting out colourful pictures from magazines and can be just about anything you would like to achieve.

◊ A holiday destination.
◊ New outfit.
◊ Car.
◊ Kitchen if you are looking to revamp your home.
◊ Slimmer you if you want to lose weight.
◊ New career.

Cut out the ones that are in alignment with your goal for example. If it’s a beach holiday get pictures of sandy beaches, blue skies and turquoise sea. Pin the pictures on your board in a way that you find inspiring, then spend 5-7 minutes daily looking at the images also add to it when you see something that grabs your attention.Let me be clear and say using a vision board or any kind of visualisation alone needs the additional something that gets you moving towards your destination.

Here’s How

And that additional something is called ACTION this is the very thing that moves you in the direction of your goals whether it’s a new job, holiday or that great new outfit. The point is it doesn’t matter what, but there is great truth in the saying.

“A journey of 1,000 miles begins with the first step”

However, no matter how much you visualise yourself taking that step the journey doesn’t begin until you move your foot. Only you can do that so if your’e ready or not quite there yet and want to take a step further.
