Is asking for help a sign of strength or weakness? I want to assure you that if you are considering coming for coaching it is not, repeat not, a sign of weakness. In fact, it’s the opposite.
I have had many clients who have say it took years to make that leap of faith and come to see me because they thought asking for help is a sign of weakness.
Let Me Explain Why It Isn’t.
Firstly asking for or seeking help is a sign of strength. It shows you are aware that something needs to change and by taking the action to seek out the right help and support you are doing something positive. Once you take the initial step that’s the first hurdle over and it gets easier from here on in.
It’s important to keep in mind the benefits of seeking professional help. In terms of coaching, it offers a safe place for you to explore the benefits including how it can give you a fresh perspective on your problems.
It gives you someone impartial to share your concerns, hopes and aspirations with who takes you seriously, works alongside you and keeps you focused to achieve those all important goals and visions. It’s also worth pointing out that it’s a myth that you must have a goal as big as a mountain or it’s not worth going for. It’s your goal and it DOES NOT have to be earth shattering, just as long as you are committed and willing to take the steps you’re halfway there.
What I can promise you is this. You can make small or large changes to improve and make your life better. While it can seem quite scary that’s perfectly normal so don’t let those doubts, fears and anxieties hold you back from achieving what is important to you. It’s YOUR life!
Finally, seeking help whether it’s coaching or something else is an investment giving you the hope of a better future and more.
