Now December is upon us it’s a good time to ask yourself the question. What is it I am going to achieve in 2017? And if you think you don’t have time to do this then think again!
A useful tip and the very first step is to take just 20 minutes out of your day then write down with absolute clarity what 2017 look like to you. You want to make it your best year by describing in great detail what your life looks like in 2017. For example, your goal may be to be in a loving relationship, have a better social life, start a new business, lose 5 pounds in weight, get fitter or something else, it doesn’t have to be huge either. What’s important is to be as specific as you can when you write it down in clear, precise details.
Make Your Goal Into Reality.
So you’ve taken the time to write down what your life looks like in 2017. Let’s say you want to earn another £300 a month, get fitter or make a fresh start. Now here is the fun part. Imagine your favourite actor or actress in your favourite film, they had to learn the part by getting into character, practicing and rehearsing who it is they are playing including learning how to speak, mannerisms, facial expressions. So just like an actor you have to get into the part by acting, believing, speaking play the role, developing the skills, learning new skills doing whatever it takes. Whether it’s getting a pay rise at work, moving on from a relationship that doesn’t serve your needs, getting fitter by joining a class, taking up more exercise, getting a personal trainer. It’s your goal and if you really want to achieve it you will do whatever it takes starting in some cases with very small steps.
The Way Forward.
But then you start to do the work and get to a point where something seems to be holding you back. Whether you are aware of it or not that could be old habits, beliefs, lack of action or a combination of all three. That’s where personal coaching helps and will support you through the brick wall or challenges you face.
